Job Summary:

(add)ventures is considering their expansion into the Chicago market.  As a result, we are looking for a highly-motivated and skilled individual with the following strategic competencies: market analysis and company positioning; brand identity; competitive analysis; new product identification, development and launch; strategic advertisement; marketing communications; product line forecasts; pricing; promotional marketing; and interactive/new media promotional applications.  individual should also be skilled in the following tactical competencies: tradeshow coordination; press releases; lead generation and coordination; product introduction; sales tools; logistical planning; and web page management.

This person should have experience in developing business goals and written strategic marketing plans, and have innovative presentation skills to create excitement about and interest in the firm’s ideas.  This person must also have experience building and implementing creative marketing programs.

Reports to: evp/chief strategy officer 

Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Partners with other firm managers to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies as well as developing and executing these strategies.
  • Assumes a leading role in client service, presentations, and proposals.
  • Insures that the firm brand achieves its potential.
  • Takes part in the firm’s new business program.
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets data on present and prospective new business clients.
  • Maintains personal contact by mail/phone/email with current and new business database contacts, providing them with information, firm news, and items of general interest.
  • Takes initiative to build and develop management, advertising/marketing and design skills as necessary. 
  • Participates in firm cross-training exercises and internal professional development retreats and programs.
  • Embraces the firm’s culture and contribute to a fun, supportive, productive and energetic workplace.
  • Works diligently and ethically toward the achievement of the firm’s mission and vision statement.
  • Completes timely and accurate timesheets.
  • Meets assigned billable goals.
  • Abides by and adhering to all employee polices as detailed in employee manual.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of marketing experience (brand management, advertising, interactive, direct marketing and promotion).
  • A B.S. or M.S. degree in Business or Marketing or similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years in managing and leading others.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communications skills are important, as are well-developed project management and organizational skills, and an ability to lead from strategic concept to tactical implementation.
  • Strong contacts in the Chicago area.
  • This person should be capable of managing several projects at one time.
  • The ability to spot and take advantage of promotional and new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of computers systems and MS Office.
  • Keen sense of entrepreneurship.
  • An appreciation for branding, marketing and good communications.
