(add)ventures earned the recognition facing tough competition – the company’s videos were selected among approximately 3,100 entries.
(add)ventures has received recognition as one of the fastest-growing inner-city companies in America by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC). This marks the third time that (add)ventures has been named to the Inner City 100, a prestigious ranking which highlights the firm’s innovative practices and sustained growth.
(add)ventures, a multidisciplinary communications consultancy, recently received the honor of ‘Best in Class’ in three categories of the Interactive Media Awards (IMA). The IMA awards, considered among the most influential in the industry, singled out (add)ventures for excellence in the design, development and implementation of the CVS Caremark Recruitment Application, RxFactors.
The founder, president and CEO of (add)ventures in Providence will be honored by the U.S. Small Business Administration as the 2008 Rhode Island Minority Small Business Person of the Year. Steve Rosa is among seven minority small business owners, advocates and SBA lenders who will receive awards during the annual Minority Enterprise Development Week awards dinner on October 15th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick.
The Rhode Island MED Week celebration, October 14 to October 17, is cosponsored by the SBA and the Rhode Island Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce.
The R.I. Governor’s Workforce Board has awarded 77 Comprehensive Worker Training grants, totaling $1.59 million, to help provide on-the-job training for 3,500 Rhode Island workers. Employers will match the grants, bringing the total to $3.2 million.

The award was presented by Rhode Island Small Business Administration and the Hispanic American Chamber of Commerce during the 2007 Rhode Island Minority Enterprise Development Week.
After accepting the prize and thanking his employee family and client partners, including BankRI, CVS Caremark, Hasbro, and Marriott, Rosa told the 300 in attendance that the majority of his client partners do not realize he owns a minority business enterprise, or MBE.
(add)ventures has been named one of the nation’s 5,000 fastest growing companies by Inc. magazine. This is the third time the company has been recognized by the magazine for its growth. In 2003 and 2004, (add)ventures was included in the Inc. 500.
This year’s distinction places (add)ventures on the inaugural Inc. 5000 list, which celebrates the fastest-growing private companies in America.

Today more than 450 business and government leaders from around the state showed their support for City Year Rhode Island at the annual Starfish Luncheon at the Rhode Island Convention Center. Stephen Rosa, president and chief creative officer of (add)ventures, stepped up and accepted the Moccasin Award from City Year Rhode Island during their graduation ceremony last week. Rosa, a board member of City Year Rhode Island and a chair of their annual fundraiser, Starry, Starry Night, was chosen for his community service to City Year throughout the past year.
