(add)ventures is pleased to welcome ACCION USA to its family of client partners. The nonprofit organization, which has offices throughout the U.S., provides critical microloans to entrepreneurs. The small business owners, who are often women and minorities, use loans from ACCION USA to build sustainable businesses and increase family income, and on average, each loan leads to the creation of 2.4 new jobs. In addition to microloans, ACCION USA provides invaluable financial education.
“I founded (add)ventures at age 25,” said Steve Rosa, (add)ventures president and chief executive officer. “So, I know first hand how incredibly valuable an initial investment of capital and ongoing education is to an entrepreneur. We admire ACCION’s commitment to the success of small business owners and the long-term success of communities throughout the United States. In January, (add)ventures coordinated a multi-city SOLVEsession® with its new client partner. The in-depth brainstorming session brought together the strategy and creative teams from (add)ventures' offices in Providence and Miami, as well as staff members from several of ACCION's offices. Together, the group explored ways in which (add)ventures can help ACCION USA upgrade its online application, which will streamline the application process and improve access to the wide variety of financial education tools ACCION USA provides to applicants and loan recipients.
