Given the challenging economy and understanding the realities facing many Rhode Islanders, (add)ventures helped create and publicize Hasbro, Inc.’s new giving program for the holidays – the Hasbro Holiday Express. Through the program, Hasbro encouraged Rhode Islanders to donate new blankets, boxes of cereal or packages of diapers -- some of the most needed and requested items for families in need of assistance – while Hasbro donated a toy or game for each item collected. The toys and games will reach struggling Rhode Island families through Rhode Island Toys for Tots, and the blankets, cereal and diapers will reach those most in need through Crossroads Rhode Island, as well as local food pantries throughout the state.
