(add)ventures Names Joseph Miech Chief Operating Officer

(add)ventures, a multidisciplinary communications consultancy, recently expanded its executive management team by naming Joseph Miech to the newly created position of chief operating officer. As (add)ventures continues its unprecedented growth, Miech will oversee the firm’s operations and improve its procedures and organizational planning. He will also help implement the firm’s strategic global expansion, including overseeing the company’s Latin American gateway office in Miami, Florida.

“Often, we look outside the strategic consulting and creative services industries to add top talent with fresh perspective to our team. That led us to Joe," said Steve Rosa (add)ventures CEO. “(add)ventures success is driven by our unique culture of creative problem solving and community service. As Lieutenant Colonel of the Rhode Island State Police, Joe was in charge of administration for a culture-driven organization leading HR, finance, procurement and operational functions. Joe's proven leadership and legendary work ethic will help us manage our explosive growth and plan for long-term sustainability both here and internationally."

Rosa added, “Joe will be an asset to our client partners' crisis, strategic and tactical planning needs as well. In his roles within the State Police, lives depended upon Joe's decision making. That makes it easy to trust Joe's instincts and judgment. He is a man of honor who embraces the responsibility of leadership."

Prior to joining (add)ventures, Miech, a resident of Wakefield, R.I. served as the third highest-ranking member of the Rhode Island State Police.  As the lieutenant colonel-chief administrative officer, he managed both the day-to-day and ‘big picture’ operations within the organization.

In addition to being a member of the Rhode Island State Police for more than 20 years, Miech has served as an assistant instructor for the Bryant College Executive Development Center, as a board member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and as an editor of Rhode Island Trooper magazine.

Joe earned his bachelor’s degree from Roger Williams University and a master’s degree from Salve Regina University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Rhode Island.
