(add)ventures has named Nora Crowley manager of Social Impact. Crowley is charged with helping (add)ventures and its client partners drive positive and sustainable social change through corporate citizenship and cause marketing endeavors.
For 20 years, social responsibility has been a part of (add)ventures’ DNA. Crowley will strengthen that tradition by developing and implementing a strategic plan for (add)love, the firm’s corporate giving program. She will also collaborate with (add)ventures’ creative and strategy teams to find opportunities for clients to realize the social and business benefits that come from a well-thought-out corporate responsibility plan.
“Now more than ever, corporations are recognizing the value of having social impact strategies,” said Mary Sadlier, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer. “Particularly in a challenging economy, consumers are looking to the business world to be more responsible. Charitable giving and cause marketing will inspire your brand stakeholders and make it easier for you to retain them long-term. It’s not just the right thing to do, it’s intelligent business practice.”
Prior to joining (add)ventures, Crowley lived in Washington, D.C., where she worked in Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s education policy office. A native Rhode Islander, she returned to her home state in 2007 to complete a year of national service with City Year. There, she led a team of volunteers in full-time service to an urban middle school. Since completing her year of service, Nora continues to volunteer in the Providence community, serving as Chairperson of the City Year RI Alumni Association Board, mentoring, and regularly participating in community service opportunities.
Crowley holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics from Brandeis University, and she earned a master’s degree in education policy and management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
