(add)ventures Hires Alexis M. Gorriarán for Newly Created Marketing Position
(add)ventures has named Alex Gorriarán as Manager of Marketing. This new position will enhance client relations for a diverse and growing client base. Gorriarán will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategic marketing campaigns, interactive, event production and moving pictures productions. He will also develop programs and marketing tools to recruit diverse clients and better serve multicultural markets.
Gorriarán has ten years of experience spanning the non-profit, private and public sectors. Prior to joining (add)ventures, he was the Director of Marketing for Hook-Fast Specialties while also managing his own business, Pride Promotions. In 2002, he served as the Liaison to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community for the Mayor's Office of Providence.
A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing with a minor in Spanish, Gorriarán also completed Leadership Rhode Island in 2004. Gorriarán is of Cuban descent and speaks fluent Spanish representing a multi-cultural perspective.
Gorriarán, a resident of Providence, currently serves as the co-chair of Rhode Island Pride. He also lends his time and talents to several community organizations including the International Special Events Society, La Raza, ProviDance Productions, RI Civil Rights Roundtable and the International Institute for Event Leadership.
