Philanthropy has always been a big part of the (add)ventures culture. We have a local reputation as a company with a big heart. (add)ventures recently received recognition for our volunteerism from the McAuley House, a meal site and house of hospitality for Rhode Island's homeless.
“The participation of (add)ventures employees throughout the “month of love” helped our meals program run smoothly,” said Reverend Mary Margaret Earl, administrator of the McAuley House. “You pitched in to help us serve lunches, offer desserts, pour coffee and clean up with a warmth and friendliness that is so needed by the women, men and children we serve. Thank you.”
(add)ventures had declared the month of February our (add)love month, in homage to our corporate philanthropy program. On every Thursday and Friday of the month we sent a team of volunteers to serve lunch at the McAuley House. As we filled their plates with food, their hearts were filled with gratitude, and our lives felt fulfilled.
Through (add)love, we donate our time and talents to directly impact our community. Throughout 2009 our team will participate in several programs so we can (add) a little love to those that need it most.
