With a record-setting 80 founding corps members, City Year Miami burst onto the scene in Miami with an energetic Opening Day ceremony, and (add)ventures lent public relations support as part of its ongoing (add)love commitment to the organization. So far, media hits garnered through (add)ventures pro bono efforts have included a letter to the editor in the Miami Herald and a high-energy story on CBS4. Still on the horizon are a planned appearance on WLRN radio's Topical Currents by corps members and board chairs Brad and Cori Meltzer and an expected feature story about City Year in the Miami Herald.
