(add)ventures an award-winning advertising, branding, design, multimedia, and public relations agency based in Providence, R.I., has joined forces with the Boston-based Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) to launch a nation wide campaign aimed at improving perceptions of living, working, and doing business in America’s inner cities.
(add)ventures’ Chief Creative Officer Stephen Rosa unveiled the campaign during a keynote luncheon address at the Inner City Economic Forum in Atlanta, Ga. More than 140 representatives from the nation’s largest retail, finance, and non-profit organizations were in attendance. The campaign, which entails strategic print and television advertising, public relations, and interactive websites, combines ICIC’s extensive research and business resources with (add)ventures’ national media relationships, knowledge of strategic communications, and unique understanding of inner-city challenges and benefits.
“This is a campaign that will generate real and positive change by highlighting the facts about the growing business opportunities that now abound in the once-decaying inner cities,” Rosa said. “Our goal is to change the negative perceptions so that the positive realities of doing business in the inner cities can shine through.”
(add)ventures was recently recognized by ICIC and Inc. Magazine’s Inner City 100 as one of the fastest-growing inner city companies in the United States. This award places (add)ventures among a select group of America’s most promising businesses that have the foresight to build companies in urban areas.
ICIC is a national not-for-profit organization founded in 1994 by Harvard Business School professor Michael E. Porter. ICIC’s mission is to spark new thinking about the business potential of inner cities, thereby creating jobs, income, and wealth for inner-city residents.
