(add)love

In celebration of Random Acts of Kindness Day, our team surprised unsuspecting travelers with freshly-baked happiness. We partnered with Knead Doughnuts and TF Green Airport to pull it off, giving out more than 300 sweet treats. Just another way we (add)love and give back.

Check out some of our favorite moments from the day, and don’t forget to pay it forward in your own way.

In honor of the giving season, we teamed up with the Sojourner House – a resource center for domestic violence victims in Rhode Island – to help struggling families provide a happy holiday for their children for the fourth year in a row.

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on life’s greatest blessings and to offer gratitude to those who have a special place in our hearts. This year, we wanted to say thanks to our neighbors, Providence Firefighters, Engine 13, with a homemade lunch on the day before the holiday.

Our (add)love team warmed up the crew with five-alarm chili, cornbread, lasagna, pie and delectable treats. The sweetest part of the entire meal? The gratitude our team felt for the tremendous work the fire fighters do for our local community.

If you know about our (add)love program, then you know we believe in great causes. What we find even more rewarding is when we can inspire our client partners to celebrate their generosity along with us.

On February 17, we spread out throughout downtown Providence and surprised commuters and students with vouchers for a free beverage from GCafé. Located in the lobby of ProvidenceG, GCafé redeemed vouchers to honor National Random Acts of Kindness Day and help spread the values of our NICE culture.

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, every (add)venturist was provided a $25 CVS/pharmacy gift card and asked to give it to someone who helps or inspires them to live the values of our NICE culture.

Our team reflected on who in their life helps them be the NICE professional they are, understands when they must work late or on weekends serving our client partners, and fuels their passion to grow at (add)ventures.

We’re so happy to have played such an important role in recognizing the positive spirit that guides Lonsdale Elementary School Teacher Marla Barrett in her multi-year bout with cancer. Working “covertly,” we collaborated with the wonderful Joe Andruzzi Foundation and the Lincoln Public School District to plan a surprise visit by 3-time New England Patriots Super Bowl Champ and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi.

We love sharing the joys of reading, so, it was only natural for us to partner with Books Are Wings—a nonprofit whose mission is to put free books in the hands of children—as part of our recent 25 Acts of NICEness activities. We hosted a book drive and our (add)venturists purchased more than 50 books to donate to Books are Wings.

Every summer, (add)ventures welcomes a group of talented and creative interns as part of our (add)love mentorship program. Our five interns brought design, video, marketing, public relations and social media skills to our team. In their own words, check out the important lessons, skills and experiences our interns gained, along with words of wisdom to future interns.

With flower pots in hand to serve as tokens of appreciation, our (add)love team recently set out to thank a few of our long-standing production partners with impromptu visits to their business locations.

Part of the (add)ventures culture is about honoring the family and friends who allow us to be our best. Recently, we arrived at the office and found $25 CVS/pharmacy gift cards sitting on our desks. Our task? A random act of NICEness to “pay it forward” and give the $25 gift card to someone in our life who helps us be who we are.
