We complete a video for a client. It’s living out there in its intended location – let’s say a company’s website. But then, a week or two later, comes the inevitable: “We’re thinking we’d like to use this video for social, too.”
From the “King of Rock and Roll” to a swarm of bees, our (add)venturists celebrated Halloween in style with a collection of creative costumes at our annual Halloween party.
With our Collaboratory decked out in spooky spider webs and festive decorations, and yummy treats and spirits laid out to satisfy any sweet tooth, our Halloween-themed Cinco was truly a gathering to remember. We also hosted a costume contest and awarded prizes for scariest costume, funniest costume, best group costume, and best overall costume.
From serving as a soldier in the U.S. Army to vp, video/animation at (add)ventures, Scott Maiocchi shared his experience as a leader in the military and how it brought him to his leadership role here.
In honor of all veterans who sacrifice so much for our freedom, we interviewed Scott, our very own vet, to find out more about the transition from military to video storytelling and how it takes the determination of a soldier to self-teach 15 years worth of video/production knowledge.
Our company outing reinforced our guiding principle of "work as a team and win as a team" and included a trip to Fenway Park to remind us to appreciate tradition, plus a tour of Harpoon Brewery that inspired us to constantly innovate and push our creative limits. A video we created for CVS Caremark about the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and the company’s swift and compassionate response was presented with an “Excellence in Tactics Recognition” award in the video category at the Southeastern New England Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA/SENE) 2013 Excellence Awards.
