Curating Collegiate Conversations During COVID

A fully-remote video podcast series was developed for professors, alumni and industry experts to share their career journeys and how a Johnson & Wales University education helps students thrive.

Faced with the frenzied onset of the COVID-19 pandemic we created new ways to record timely, useful video content that could readily be shared with the JWU community and prospective students.

We developed the Explore from Home video series, featuring JWU professors, alumni, current students and industry experts.

Each 20-minute episode focuses on a specific area of study or industry, with participants discussing how their experiences at JWU prepared them for their career. Topics (so far) include: food safety during a pandemic; media & communication perspectives on stadium concerts; and JWU education and preparation for real-world success.

The videos, filmed via Zoom, showcase the ability to adapt quickly and produce a professional and polished video series at a time when the participants could not be in a room together.
