(add)ventures announces EPIC new headquarters, the East Providence Innovation Complex

Renovated building will include two video/photography studios, audio recording studio and EPIC collabs: a design thinking center for collaborative commerce and community.

East Providence, R.I. (December 14, 2018) – New England-based multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm (add)ventures announced the exciting purchase of its new headquarters at 20 Risho Avenue in East Providence. This follows the relocation and expansion of its Miami Latin America gateway from Coconut Grove to the burgeoning Arts and Entertainment District in Greater Downtown Miami.

The new campus will reflect the firm’s experiential branding expertise, brand culture building methodology and purposeful guiding principles. It will blend experiential and environmental branding within its “Think,” “Work” and “Play” spaces.

Think Space

More than double the size of its current New England headquarters in Providence and situated on the border of Massachusetts, the complex offers a strategic and creative hub for (add)ventures’ client partners to collaborate with its team and community on innovative brand solutions, while providing a collaborative design thinking center of excellence in the region.

Work Space

The renovated single-level campus will feature a mix of open floor plans, private offices and meeting rooms; a conference center with a flex-space auditorium; seven additional meeting rooms and a pre-function entertainment space; plus six private, soundproof “Teléfono” booths for voice conferencing. In addition, the complex will house two new video/photography studios with a 17-foot and mini cycloramas, multiple video editing suites, animation stations and a server farm dubbed “Silicon Alley.”

Play Space

In the center of the complex sits the 1,200-square-foot “Club House,” an employee breakroom by day, bar by night and TV cooking show set on occasion. This wood shingle “house within the (add)ventures home” will serve as a central gathering space for meals, informal meetings and entertaining. Come springtime, the Club House will look out upon a courtyard amphitheater, NASCAR Victory Lap and “Win-Win Woods” fitness trail.

A professional gamer studio will provide additional recreation opportunities for employees when not in use for client partners’ game-casting, podcasting, live streaming and augmented and virtual reality engineering. As the agency of record for AOC in Latin America, such services are essential as (add)ventures continues to expand the market reach of the gaming and computer monitor manufacturer by aligning and nurturing the growth of professional eSports leagues in the region.

Rejuvenation and Reflection Elements

The urban transportation themed environs of (add)ventures will bring visitors on a global brand experience of its multidisciplinary, multicultural and multisensory service offerings. To provide healthy work-life balance, an employee wellness room will double as a mindful meditation space and a new mother’s room; team members will integrate pliability fitness exercises and ergonomic workspaces into the workday and the “SWOLmates” team will host workday and after-work fitness, yoga, martial arts and self-defense experiences in a flex space.

In addition to mindfulness experiences, (add)ventures will provide inspiration along its indoor history MUSE-eum gallery walk, featuring pieces of industrial design found at MOMA and RISD museums amid nostalgic “HYStorical” pop culture selfie stops.

With 20 new hires in the past two years, the company sought a new space to accommodate its growing team while continuing to advance the workforce opportunities in Rhode Island. More than 200 parking spaces will accommodate all employees and guests, and the location provides easy highway access to Route 195.

A 2018 Qualified Tax Credit Program recipient, (add)ventures is contributing to new net state revenue with the creation of 10 new full-time jobs by 2019, for which it receives tax credits. In addition, the company includes five employees who were accepted by the Rhode Island Commerce Corporation’s Wavemaker Fellowship: a competitive student loan reimbursement program for recent graduates working in STEM and design fields to receive annual refundable tax credits.

Committed to local partnerships, (add)ventures teamed up with Bentley Builders of North Kingstown and McGeorge Architecture and Interiors of East Greenwich to complete the seven-month-long renovations, which will be complete when the company opens its new doors January 2, 2019.

The first phase of the building including the office space, Club House and some meeting space will be complete in January, while the remainder will be complete in Spring of 2019. (add)ventures will share the 50,000 square foot complex with two current tenants and one future tenant.
